Should i regrip my clubs myself
You simply place the hook underneath the club and gently drag it down until your are making an incision fairly far down the entire grip.
Please make sure you are cutting away from your body to avoid injury. The next order of business is to remove the old tape. This will be the most time-consuming part of the exercise. If you happen to have a heat gun or even a hair dryer you can get the old tape warmer and it will make it easier to peel off by hand. The easiest way to do that is just to hold up your grip next to the shaft and leave your thumb at the bottom of where you want the tape to end you could also measure it with a tape measurer if you want to be completely exact.
Now you are going to apply the tape to each of your clubs. Here is the most important step in regripping golf clubs, and where you really want things to go correctly. Now you are going to apply the actual grips. There are two ways to do this — you can do it with a vise, which is why purchasing the grip kit will help, or you can do it without the vise.
Before you apply the grip you need to apply grip solvent to the inside of the grip. The key here is to be extremely generous. You almost can never have enough grip solvent! If you have a spray bottle or a tube, the first step is to place your finger over the small hole at the butt of the grip this will prevent it from leaking out. Then you apply a generous amount of solvent to the inside of the grip.
Then you will cover the opening at the bottom with your other finger and shake it back and forth to coat the inside evenly. The last step before you apply the grip is to pour the excess grip solvent from the inside of the grip evenly over the tape on the shaft. You can place a paint liner beneath your grip to catch the excess solvent in case you want to re-use some.
This is another step where you want to be generous with the solvent. Before we get to each method there is one main piece of advice I would give anyone who is regripping golf clubs at home. You absolutely want to get that grip on quickly and aggressively. For you beginners out there, I would expect to possibly botch one or two attempts, which is why I recommend buying a couple of extra ones.
Here is a video showing this method. One word of caution — you have to be careful how much force you are applying on the shaft. If you have a vise at home, then I would definitely recommend using it. You simply place the rubber insert from the grip kit in the vise and tighten it enough so that the club is not going to move when you are applying force to get the grip all the way down.
Here is a video of putting on a grip with the vise to show you what it looks like. You may find it easiest to do this with the club secured in the vice. Related: The best golf grips. Dab the cloth in White Spirit and rub it up and down the shaft where the old grip was to clean off the final bits.
Next, starting at the butt end, wrap the double-sided tape round the grip working downwards and allowing sufficient space so that it doesn't start overlapping lower down as the grip gets narrower.
Wrap the extra bit around the top so it is covered with tape as this will make it easier to slip the new grip on. Place the club in the vice with the head pointing up, taking care to use a shaft protector or similar to avoid damage as you tighten.
Now take one of the new grips, cover the little hole at the end, and pour in a little White Spirit. Cover both ends of the grip with your fingers and swill the White Spirit around so the whole of the inside is coated. Place your receptacle under the grip if your vice arrangement allows you to do so , then, pinching the open end to control the flow, pour the White Spirit over the double-sided tape with any excess falling into your receptacle to re-use.
Betting experts, writers and video producers. Couple of guys in our early 20's looking to bring the sport that we love into a new era. Ferg September 16, September 16, OK, I've never done my grips, so I may be wrong on this. I haven't seen it mentioned yet. Don't you want to make sure the line on the bottom of the grip is noted? So that way you can rematch the center line of the grip back up?
Just checking. I will say thought that after reading this, I think I'm going to replace my own grips. CT September 16, MikeBuch September 16, On that page is an instructional video on how to regrip clubs.

I have putted on greens where it's so crazy and possibly poorly designed, thanks Geoff Ogilvy and Mike Clayton that the aim is to get your FIRST putt to stop somewhere so you have an uphill putt of less than 20 feet.
In fairness to the designers, though, when you have greens that are essentially divided into quadrants, being on the green but in the wrong quadrant is essentially the same as being off the green in a nasty spot. Just because you're on the green doesn't mean that you are entitled to have to have a putt at the hole - witness 17 at Pebble Beach.
Today for the first time ever I dropped out of a round without starting it. Had been drizzling all of yesterday, but despite that we drove about 70 km one way to the course. Stopped for breakfast a few km away and decided to head back without playing.
My Swing mvmac. Took these updated cues into competition last week and overall went well. Struggled at times with some left drives but that was more of my "comfortable" tendencies rearing their head.
Tournament was the Vegas Cup, us vs TPC Vegas and we made big comeback on the last day, winning 10 out 12 matches to win the cup back. I was in the last group, we were checking Golf Genius and when I was hitting my tee shot on 18 I thought my match was going to determine the winner of the event. In reality we had already won but regardless, hit the best drive of my life on 18, made par and won my match 2 up. Keeping it simple.
Very hard for me. My tendency is to start the move with my left arm adducting into my body. Very functional right now, hitting it great even though there are several things I'm not liking with the mechanics. Today I played a 9-hole match with a coworker.
